Understanding the response of Welsh councils to COVID-19 for Gypsies and Travellers

In order to understand how people living on Gypsy and Traveller stopping points in Wales were supported during the COVID-19 pandemic, Romani Cultural & Arts Company were funded to contact all Welsh local authorities and the Welsh Government with a Freedom of Information request.

In addition, Romani Cultural & Arts Company were commissioned to carry out research with Gypsies and Travellers in Wales. The aim of this is to develop an insight into how COVID-19 has impacted on the lifestyle and day-to-day living of Gypsies and Travellers in Wales.

Results will be published in a written report that can be used by policy makers, local authorities and other bodies to support reflection and to inform action.
